This Privacy Policy explains how EmberDecorIdeas (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit emberdecorideas.com (the “Site”).

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We may collect information you choose to provide when you contact us, leave a comment, or subscribe to a newsletter. This may include your name, email address, website address, message, and any other details you include.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Site, our hosting, security, analytics, and advertising services may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, and the date and time of visits. Cookies and similar technologies may also be used as described in our Cookie Policy.

How We Use Information

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
  • Respond to questions, feedback, and correction requests.
  • Send newsletters or updates when you request them.
  • Understand how visitors use the Site and improve its content and performance.
  • Display, measure, and help prevent fraud related to advertising.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Email Newsletter and Free Downloads

When you request a free resource or join the EmberDecorIdeas email list, we collect the email address you submit and information about the signup, such as the form used, confirmation status, and the date and time of the request. We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit), operated by Kit, Inc., to process subscriptions, send confirmation and delivery emails, provide requested downloads, and send occasional decorating ideas and content updates.

Kit may process technical and engagement information needed to deliver and measure email, such as an IP address, device and browser data, email opens, and link clicks. Subscription is voluntary. We use confirmed, permission-based signups, do not sell or share the subscriber list for others’ independent marketing, and include an unsubscribe link in every marketing email. You may unsubscribe at any time.

Comments and Gravatar

When visitors leave comments, WordPress may collect the information shown in the comment form together with the visitor’s IP address and browser information to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use it. After a comment is approved, a profile image associated with Gravatar may be visible publicly with the comment.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use or may use third-party advertising services, including Google AdSense. When advertising technology is active, Google and other advertising partners may place or read cookies, use local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to serve, limit, personalize where permitted, prevent fraud, and measure advertisements.

Google explains how information from sites and apps that use its services may be processed in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings. Other advertising partners may provide their own privacy and opt-out controls.

Consent and Location-Based Privacy Choices

Privacy choices can differ depending on where a visitor lives. Where required, the Site may display consent or opt-out controls for advertising and similar technologies, including controls intended for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or U.S. states with applicable privacy requirements. Available controls and the technologies used may change as our services and legal requirements change.

Analytics, Service Providers, and Sharing

We may work with service providers that help with hosting, security, spam prevention, analytics, email delivery, site performance, and advertising. They may process information only to provide their services or as otherwise permitted by their terms and applicable law. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or support a business transfer. We do not sell personal information for money.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the service involved.

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages, adjust browser cookie settings, use available consent controls, and manage advertising preferences through provider settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of certain personal information. To make a request, use our Contact page. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review the matter.

Security and External Links

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. The Site may link to third-party websites that have their own privacy practices; we are not responsible for those practices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Site, our services, or applicable requirements. The revised effective date will appear at the top of this page.
